On Wednesday, May 22, Lauren Bairnsfather, Executive Director of the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh, will join us to share a presentation on the history of Jewish immigration to the United States, while also touching on the topic of antisemitism.

In addition, we have invited the New Light Congregation of the Tree of Life Synagogue to join us for the presentation, which will be followed by a dinner discussion. Lauren will conclude her presentation by providing questions for table discussions, which will enable members of Shadyside Presbyterian Church to interact and build relationships with members of New Light.

The dinner will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall and will conclude by 7:30 p.m. Please contact Janet Cohen before Monday, May 20, 2019.

Since the Tree of Life tragedy, Shadyside Presbyterian Church has been intentional about building relationships with our neighbors of other faith traditions. We have participated in previous events with the Jewish Community Center and the New Light Congregation of the Tree of Life Synagogue.
