PITTSBURGH, April 29, 2019 – Six months to the day our congregation lost members in the massacre at Tree of Life, another American synagogue was victim to a hate crime over the weekend.

We are deeply saddened by yet another senseless attack, this one on the Congregation Chabad in Poway, California. We grieve with the families of those victimized and for their entire congregation. We must, as a people and a nation, continue to press for meaningful reform when it comes to protecting religious freedom and the safety of all who exercise it.

The people of Congregation Chabad will be in our prayers as they begin their journey of grief and recovery.
